We are delighted that our Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) has again been awarded the WriteMark Plain Language Standard.
In a field known for its complexity, Summer’s goal is to help people on their investment journey. Being awarded the WriteMark on our PDS is a reflection of our commitment to helping investors make informed decisions.
Since the scheme launched in 2016, the Summer PDS has achieved the WriteMark each time it has been updated.
The updated version includes the following fee reductions. We have also made some amendments reflecting recent and proposed legislative change. Our fees are easy to understand. We don’t charge a performance fee.
|Fund name||Old annual fund charges p.a. of the value of your investment:||New annual fund charges p.a. of the value of your investment:|
|Summer New Zealand Cash||0.9%||0.5%|
|Summer New Zealand Fixed Interest||0.9%||0.75%|
|Summer Global Fixed Interest||0.9%||0.75%|
|Summer Conservative Selection||0.9%||0.75%|
"To retain the WriteMark, a document needs to be reassessed each time it changes," says Lynda Harris, Founder and Chief Executive of Write Limited. “The Summer PDS continues to deliver to a high standard for ease of reading and understanding.”
The WriteMark is a quality mark awarded to documents that achieve a high standard of plain language. A document that carries the WriteMark:
Accessible information is a cornerstone for making wise decisions about investment and at Summer we are committed to ensuring that the PDS remains transparent and accessible. It clearly explains how the Summer KiwiSaver scheme works, its risks, and investors’ rights.
"The statement is a living document, and as it changes we work to keep it up to the WriteMark standard," says Trish Oakley, Head of Summer.
